Porsche acquires distributor in Chile
Carey and KPMG Chile have helped Porsche acquire Maco Industrial y Comercial, which holds the distribution rights for cars and light commercial vehicles carrying the Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen and MAN marques in Chile.
Porsche, which is owned by Germany’s Volkswagen, bought the distributor from three investors – Luxinvest, BM Inversiones and a San Felipe investment fund. Grasty Quintana Majlis & Cía and Jorquiera & Rozas Abogados advised Luxinvest and BM Inversiones, while San Felipe turned to Guzmán y Cía on the deal that closed on 9 April for an undisclosed amount. Maco has distributed the vehicles in Chile since the early 1980s.
