Several LatAm firms feature in cross-border tech buy

US technology group Centroid Systems has called on the New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, Chile’s Carey, Marval O'Farrell Mairal in Buenos Aires and Peruvian firm Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados to acquire Argentine cloud management company Qbit.
The target relied on Argentina’s Viramonte & Acuña Abogados.
The deal closed on 14 June and no value has been disclosed.
Through the deal, Centroid expands its application and infrastructure-based services in Latin America.
Qbit provides cloud management services to companies in Latin America. It is headquartered in Buenos Aires and has additional offices in Chile and Peru. It is a partner of US computer technology group Oracle.
Headquartered in Michigan, Centroid is a subsidiary of VSS Capital Partners and provides cloud service solutions in North America.
