Carey has an interdisciplinary practice in cybersecurity, through which the firm offers advice on information security and cybersecurity, identification of security gaps and incidents, preparation of policies and protocols for the mitigation of cybersecurity and privacy risks, guidelines and crisis management related to cyber-attacks and production of reports in compliance with the reporting obligations.
The team also has experience in advising regulated and non-regulated companies, in responses to requirements from the government entities with competences in the area, such as the Financial Market Commission (CMF), the Undersecretary of Telecommunications (Subtel), CSIRT, the National Consumer Protection Bureau (SERNAC), among others, in addition to representation in complaints and claims for computer crimes.
