REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
- Cinven, a global private equity firm, on the acquisition of a 79% stake in Ufinet Latam, a fiber optic company jointly owned with Enel, a global utilities company based in Italy, for approx. USD1.4 billion. The transaction involved Enel exercising an option to acquire the controlling stake and then resell it back to Cinven through its Cinven Fund VII.
- Blanco y Negro on corporate, commercial, contractual, labor and other matters related to the operation and business of Colo-Colo. The advice considers the commercialization of digital advertising rights over its image and trademarks, including the sale of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT), the negotiation of advertising and sponsorship agreements, including the issuance by the sponsors of NFT, players transfer agreements, content transmission contracts and its defense on sports regulation infringement proceedings.
- Intelsat on the Chilean aspects of several corporate, contractual and regulatory matters, related to the provision of its in-flight connectivity services to the LatAm Airlines fleet in Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru.
- DigitalBridge on day-to-day corporate and telecoms regulatory matters of Mundo Pacífico, its Chilean subsidiary.
- WOM on corporate, regulatory and antitrust aspects related to its mobile services in Chile.
- Datasection, a Japanese big data and AI company which is publicly traded in the Tokyo Stock Exchange, on the acquisition of Jach Technology, a local technological start-up of Chilean and Japanese capitals, which offers real-time video customer experience improvement services, under the name FollowUp Customer Experience, based on their interactions in stores. The operation was carried out through a swap of shares between the Chilean company shareholders and the Japanese company, which implied a simultaneous closing in both Tokyo and Santiago.
- BT Group (formerly British Telecom) on day-to-day and regulatory aspects related to its activities in Chile, including electronic signature queries, applications and amendments for telecoms concessions, analysis of contracts for the provision of several services, advice on legal interception and data retention matters.
- Several multinational terrestrial and satellite Internet service providers on corporate matters and the obtention of the regulatory licenses required for its operations in Chile.
