His practice focuses on corporate and business law, financing, mergers and acquisitions, in particular, all the regulatory and transactional aspects related to the telecommunications industry, including the Telecom Law and other regulations, concessions, licenses, permits, State contracts and others.


REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Graham Partners, a private equity firm investing in technology-driven companies, through its US based subsidiary, OptConnect, on the acquisition of M2M Data Global, a Chilean company dedicated to wireless solutions, hardware and “machine to machine” connectivity, which operates in several Latin American countries.
  • Leaf Space on permanent corporate and regulatory matters for the deployment of a gateway in Punta Arenas, Chile, to provide services to other satellite operators, including the filing of a telecommunication permit before the Undersecretary of Telecommunications (Subtel) and the incorporation of a subsidiary in Chile.
  • Verizon on several matters related to the provision of its telecommunications services in Chile, including Subtel´s Information Transfer System (STI), the obtention of a VoIP concession in Chile and response to questionnaires on telecom matters, among others.
  • WOM on several matters related to its mobile telephone and data transmission operations in Chile, including day-to-day activities as well as major projects. Also, permanent advice on aspects related to the 5G spectrum public bidding process by the Subtel, spectrum re-farming matters and challenge to the national roaming regulation, among others.
  • DigitalBridge on day-to-day corporate and telecoms regulatory matters of Mundo Pacífico, its Chilean subsidiary.
  • Cogent Communications on the provision of its telecommunications services in Chile, including regulatory aspects on net neutrality and answer to the Subtel's official notes. The advice involved the Chilean aspects of Patagonia SaleCo 2 LLC's acquisition, and its corresponding requirements.
  • Echostar/Hughes on corporate, contractual and regulatory matters related to the provision of its services in Chile, including mobile-satellite services, the inclusion of LEO system to its fixed-satellite service, the application process of the law on guaranteed Internet speed access, and on consumer protection and litigation matters.
  • Equinix on corporate and regulatory matters regarding its operations in Chile, including filing permits and concessions before the Subtel.
